Toolocal brings together 111 free tools for working with PDFs, images, text and code. What sets them apart comes down to one sentence: processing happens entirely inside your browser, on your own device.
Most comparable online services upload your files to their servers, process them remotely, then send the result back. Your documents therefore pass through infrastructure you do not control, and their deletion depends on the provider's retention policy.
Toolocal works differently. The processing libraries run directly in your browser, in JavaScript. When you drop a file, it is read by the page itself and never transmitted. You can verify this: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and run a conversion — no request leaves carrying the content of your file.
Once the page has loaded, the tools keep working without a connection. Your file size is limited only by your device's memory, not by a server quota. There is no sign-up, no queue and no daily limit, because there is no processing cost on our side.
Toolocal is built and maintained by an independent team. The site is funded by advertising, which lets us keep every tool free and registration-free.
If a tool produces an incorrect result, we want to know. Write to contact@toolocal.tech, mentioning which tool is affected and, if possible, the nature of the file — without sending it to us.
